At MAKR i took a class called "Like a Diamond" with Barbara Meyer. A simple log cabin square with a dowel spine and fiberglass bow. The overachievers did 4 narrower strips around the center square and the beginners (thats me!) did 2.

Barbara introduced me to roller cutting and quilting. I fell in love with the fact that if i didn't sew quite straight, i simply cut it off square and sew the next piece on! The light came on. This class more than any other thing turned my sewing frustration into fun. What i learned in four hours directed and made possible virtually every kite i have made since.

Thank you Barbara Meyer!!!

Oh yeah... the kite looks and flies great too!!!
